Spain Reach World Cup Final After 2–0 Victory Over France

Spain booked their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final after defeating France 2–0 in Tuesday's semi-final at Dallas Stadium. Mikel Oyarzabal converted a penalty in the 22nd minute before Pedro Porro doubled Spain's lead in the 58th minute.

The match was played at a high tempo, with Spain controlling possession for long periods and dictating the rhythm of the game. France struggled to create clear opportunities as Spain's defence remained compact throughout the contest.

Luis de la Fuente's side maintained their discipline after taking the lead and rarely allowed France space in the final third. Kylian Mbappé and his teammates were unable to turn possession into clear scoring chances as Spain protected their advantage until full-time.

The result extends Spain's recent success against France in major international competitions and sends La Roja into another World Cup final. France, meanwhile, will now shift their focus to the third-place play-off.

Spain will face either Argentina or England in Sunday's final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
